JAKARTA As a platform with a long video format, YouTube must present a storage feature so that users can see videos that have not been watched yet. Unfortunately, this feature has several problems. YouTube has added the Watch Later feature since 2009. This feature can be found across the platform, be it websites on desktop, mobile websites, or applications on mobile phones. However, there are some shortcomings of this feature. Quoting from How to Geek, the Watch Later feature has the potential to be forgotten by YouTube users because of its hidden buttons. If users use a desktop website, they must first open a three-dot icon at the bottom of the video. The button for this feature also appears with a different name, namely Save. In contrast to YouTube users in mobile apps, the Save button is easier to find because it is directly placed at the bottom of the video. Another mistake that makes this feature easy to forget is the confusing concept of YouTube. When users save videos that they want to watch again, these videos will be saved into playlists.

By using a playlist, users will more easily forget the videos they save. This method is also less efficient because users have to open a playlist line first and search for videos they save in Watch Later. It would be much better if YouTube provided a special tab or section to save videos. This will be much easier and of course more efficient for users. They don’t need to see the whole playlist just to search for videos they want to watch again.
