A little after midnight on June 29, officers responded to a shooting in the 1500 block of Trezevant. The victim told police she was outside when Kearney and several other women confronted her.

According to reports, an argument started and Kearney allegedly punched the victim in the face.

The two began to fight when Kearney pulled out a gun and attempted to hit the victim with it, police say. The victim’s boyfriend broke up the fight.

As the victim walked into the home, Kearney reportedly fired four shots at her, striking the trunk of her 2008 Dodge Charger and shattering the glass front door of the house.

On July 10, the victim told MPD the incident stemmed from a disagreement on Facebook two weeks prior.

Shelby Kearney is set to appear in court Tuesday morning.
