Some online supporters are encouraging a bikini-clad barista who slammed into a man’s car window after a disagreement over the price of a $22 coffee
Some internet users have thrown their support behind a bikini-clad barista who is seen taking revenge on a customer for throwing his drink order at her. However, others believe it was a step too far.
On Tuesday, while giving a customer a 32-ounce coffee and a 24-ounce water, Emma Lee, 23, the owner of a Taste of Heaven Espresso in South Seattle, got into a violent argument with him over the $22 cost.
He retaliated, stating, “Nobody is going to miss you,” after she informed him that he could not set his own price. The moment the enraged client exited his car and threw the huge beverages at Lee was seen on camera. She then pulled out a hammer and broke his windshield through the drive-thru glass.

A large portion of Lee’s support has come from other women in the sex-work industry. “You’re amazing! This guy is a total creep! What a scary situation. Happy you’re ok,” one person wrote.
“The hammer to the windshield was extremely satisfying!!! I’m so glad you stood up for not only yourself but all of us girlies in the industry!!,” said another.
Some who watched the video felt there was a better way to handle the situation and were not as comfortable with what Lee did to the customer.
“Woman threatens to throw drink at man over a refund request ‘assaults’ man takes drinks without force and throws them at closed window forcing ‘business owner’ to clean up a mess for $5 worth of entertainment,” said a reader.
The bikini barista stood her ground however, saying she felt threatened by the customer and did what she believed was right.

“It was a threat,” Lee said, according to FOX 13 Seattle, who said she felt in danger. “It’s okay for him to be outraged about the price of his drinks, enough to assault me, but it’s not appropriate for me to respond?”
The man can be seen standing in front of the drive-thru window on the side of his automobile at one point in the footage. Reaching into the car, he takes out the two drinks he just ordered and sets them down on the counter. When the two start arguing about the cost, Lee is seen informing the man, “There is no $5—you got two drinks; that is not how this works.”
“Keep the $15, give me $5, and put it back whatever it was,” he retorted. “Get in your car and leave,” she instructs him as she stands behind the window of her coffee shop, holding the iced coffee she had made for him.
“If you don’t go, I’m going to throw this on you,” she said. Would you like me to? I feel like you’re forcing me to take your f—— drink and go.
“I’ll accept it.” He uttered, “Keep the money.” The man can be seen carrying the drink containers. He takes off the lids and hurls the beverages at her before returning to his car.
With a hammer in hand, Lee can be heard cursing as she smashes a portion of his windshield. “It was a threat after screaming, spitting, and trying to pry open the window, I felt in danger,” Lee said. Lee called the police because the customer would not leave after the incident occurred. While the individual was forced to leave the property, he was not arrested.
She added, in part, “It was understood that what happened is, he assaulted me, and I responded.” Lee, a lone proprietor, claimed to have worked at A Taste of Heaven Espresso before buying the company when it became up for sale.
