Harassment: West Road

On June 19, a man reported his grandson received a threat from an Elyria resident who he traded an item with on Facebook. The other party was not happy and threatened to smash the complainant’s windows out with a bat. Special attention was requested.

Stolen vehicle: Bagley Road

A stolen vehicle was recovered on June 21.

Fire: Lewis Road

On June 21, police were dispatched to assist the fire department at a home that was engulfed in flames. Several fire departments from nearby cities also responded.

Injury crash: Fitch and Cook Roads

On June 14, police responded to a two-car accident with injuries.

Property damage: Columbia Road

A resident reported graffiti on her rocks on June 13.

Fraud: Columbia Road

On June 13, a person reported being scammed out of at least $500 and possibly $1,400.

Noise complaint: Columbia Road

A resident reported a construction crew was out earlier than they were supposed to be on June 15. She had previously complained to City Council and the police. Police spoke with the crew and they agreed to shut the machines down until 9 am.

Erratic driver: Locust Drive

On June 18, a caller reported a driver tried to ram into the back of her vehicle.

Lockout: Ashwood Court

A 2-year-old was accidentally locked in a car on June 20.

Theft: Sprague Road

A resident reported two packages stolen from her porch on June 24.

Road rage: Columbia Road

On June 26, a caller reported a driver speeding and passing cars going in the wrong direction. Police located the suspect at the gas station, and he reported it was a road rage incident.

Disturbance: Columbia Road

On June 26, a business reported a disgruntled employee wouldn’t leave the building. She eventually left but returned. The woman had a warrant for her arrest through Parma Police. She was advised and released.
