Metallica is calling all fans to raise their horns for a good cause.

The heavy metal band will perform an acoustic and electric set at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood on Friday, Dec. 13. The benefit concert and auction lineup have yet to be fully announced but a press release by the group has confirmed appearances by actor Robert Downey Jr., pro-skater Tony Hawk, musician St. Vincent and more.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, July 26, at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.com. All proceeds will go to the All Within My Hands Foundation.

The organization started in 2017 and has raised over $15 million. It’s provided $8.2 million in grants to career and technical education programs, including the Metallica Scholars Initiative, now in its sixth year. The organization has also contributed over $3.6 million to combat food insecurity and more than $3.5 million to disaster relief efforts.

Metallica, who was one of the big four thrash metal pioneers, performed two shows at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood last August, where they reflected on their Southern California beginnings. James Hetfield, the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and co-founder of the group, told the crowd at the show that he crafted the iconic logo on a napkin in Norwalk. The group left Los Angeles in the early ’80s during an era that was overly saturated with glam metal bands. Metallica relocated to the Bay Area, where they’ve been based for most of the past four decades.

The Grammy Award-winning band known for hits such as “Ride the Lightning,” “Enter Sandman” and “Master of Puppets” also performed at the Power Trip Festival in Indio last October with AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Tool.
