MrBeast employee attacks whistleblower who called YouTube star a fraud

A MrBeast employee is trying to debunk accusations against the YouTube star, insisting that his videos are not ‘fake’.

Last week a former MrBeast employee, who had been working in the ideation department of the most popular YouTube channel in the world, posted a video and an AMA thread on Reddit accusing Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson of lying about the legitimacy of his videos.

The two posts gained a lot of traction, with the YouTube video, in which the leaker calls MrBeast a ‘fraud’ for faking his videos, gaining 4.7 million views in five days.

Now the MrBeast staffer who fired the leaker earlier this year has come forward to debunk the accusations against the YouTube star.

The leaker, named DogPack404 on social media, accused MrBeast of lying to his fans about their chances of participating in his videos, saying those who get a chance at being a contestant and winning lots of money ‘are never random’.

‘They’re almost always local to MrBeast, and often times friends and family of MrBeast employees, or just the employees themselves,’ DogPack404 said.

Though the leaker said the millions of dollars MrBeast gives away is real, DogPack404 also claimed that the videos include actors, that countdown timers and storylines were added in post-production to make competitions seem more dramatic, and that MrBeast has hosted an illegal giveaway.

As a response, the head of MrBeast’s ideas and thumbnails team, ‘Chucky’, has gone on Twitter saying that DogPack404 worked in his department for ‘less than a month’ and that he was fired ‘for erratic behaviour’.

In his post, Chucky first addresses the accusation that only friends, family, and employees get to participate in MrBeast videos, saying:

‘This is a wild statement that can easily be proven wrong. There’s probably hundreds or thousands of people who have no affiliation to friends/family of Beast employees. Think the 456 people in squid game, or ages 1-100, etc. Jimmy doesn’t know more than like a dozen people lol.’

Chucky also says that the reason employees and MrBeast’s girlfriend participated in one of the competitions was because they were filling in for contestants who had tested positive for Covid.

He also says that there were no scripted storylines added in post-production, as DogPack404 claimed.

Although he doesn’t mention the specific video DogPack404 talked about, Chucky rebuffs the accusation that MrBeast does fake giveaways, saying:

‘We do not fake giveaways, I have been hands-on with some of them and have personally been the person to connect winners with our accounting department to get paid. You also suggested we didn’t spend $1,000,000 (£775,000) on Samsung phones and I can assure you we did. Another lie from you.’

Chucky ended his post saying, ‘If you leave this up then you’re a hypocrite.’

The video is still up on YouTube, and DogPack404 has replied to Chucky’s tweet, where he fires back that he ‘didn’t address any of my serious accusations’.

In his own statement, where he tries to debunk Chucky’s accusations at himself, DogPack404 stands firm on his claims, as seen in the tweet above, saying:

‘Interesting how you didn’t mention altering the timers or contestant dialogue in post, hmmm.’

MrBeast has still not commented on the situation on social media or to Metro.
