Every year, Kappa FuturFestival brings the biggest names in electronic music to Turin, Italy for an incredible weekend of entertainment. This year Tiësto reminded fans worldwide why he has been a legend for decades within the culture.

Holding down massive stages at festivals is nothing new for Tiësto. The Dutch DJ and producer has been a headline act longer than many festival-goers have been alive even. This year’s stop at Kappa FuturFestival even prompted fellow stars Skrillex, Anyma, Four Tet, and Solomun to bear witness to his work on the decks. On this particular Italian evening, Tiësto opted to pull from his entire career of hits and matchups to reveal the full powers of his genre-fluid talents and ability. Opening with a stunning rendition of Dance Life Control Dreams, he continued to showcase his mastery, delivering his own remixes and fresh edits as he manipulated the energy and emotion of the packed audience.

Unafraid to borrow from fellow producers and artists for his own set, his Kappa Futur setlist was devoid of recent global hits such as The Business and 10:35, instead opting for a more free-flowing club energy. Armed with such a deep catalog, Tiësto showed off his incredible ability to play to a crowd and deliver the unexpected, even at this late stage in his career. As he played through incredible edits from the likes of Mau P, deadmau5, Skrillex, and more, he still found a way to deliver his early classic Adagio For Strings near the end of this monumental set.
