COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Moonlight Loop, a fun 19-mile, police-escorted nighttime bike ride through Columbus, is this Saturday, June 22, at 9 p.m., sponsored by Friends of Columbus Animal Care Services (CACS). It starts and ends at the Bartholomew County Public Library Plaza.

This year’s event benefits the CACS Friends PetFix program, which provides low-cost spay/neuter services for dogs and cats in the Columbus community.

You can still register through Friday for $35 per rider but the price goes up to $40 the day of the ride. To register, get more information, or see a route map, visit columbus.in.gov/animal-care-services.

Participants are encouraged to decorate their bikes and themselves with lights, glow sticks, and glow-in-the-dark paint to compete in the “Light Up the Night” contest.
